In-Service Day (No School)

In-Service Days are essential to the success of our community. These dedicated days provide invaluable opportunities for team training, enabling staff to enhance their skills and collaborate on best practices. By focusing on professional development, we can ensure that our educators are equipped with the latest strategies and knowledge to support our students effectively. (Continued education is required by Colorado state and American Montessori Society).

Additionally, In-Service Days allow us to refresh our environment. This may include reorganizing classrooms, updating materials, or implementing new resources that foster an engaging learning experience. A well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged environment contributes to student well-being and promotes an effective learning atmosphere.

Moreover, these days are crucial for enhancing the Montessori curriculum items to meet the diverse needs of our students. By assessing and refining our curriculum, we can better align our teaching strategies with the unique strengths and challenges of each child, ensuring that every student receives a tailored educational experience. Ultimately, In-Service Days are instrumental in fostering a thriving educational community that prioritizes growth, adaptability, and excellence in teaching and learning.

Field Trip: Heritage Belle Farm

We are heading to Heritage Belle with our in-residence nutritionist, Ms. Cheyanne, for a hands-on experience of true farm-to-table living. Our students will have the opportunity to connect with cows, chickens, and the entire farm community. This immersive experience will allow them to learn about sustainable farming practices, the importance of animal care, and the process of growing food from the ground up. Engaging directly with the farm's operations, students will gain valuable insights into nutrition, food sources, and the impact of local agriculture on their health and environment. This trip promises to be both educational and inspiring, reinforcing the values we hold at Mountain Willow Montessori.

Parent/Teacher Conferences (No School)

We are always thrilled to connect with our community and share about the growth of our students. Each day at Mountain Willow Montessori, we witness remarkable progress as children engage in hands-on learning experiences tailored to their individual needs. The development of their skills—emotional, social, and academic—reflects the dedication of our educators and the supportive environment fostered by families.

As students explore their interests and collaborate with peers, they demonstrate increased confidence and independence. This growth is not only measured through academic achievements but also through the connections they make with one another and the world around them. Our community's involvement plays a crucial role in this journey, as we collectively nurture and inspire the next generation.

We are excited to continue sharing these success stories and celebrating the diverse accomplishments of our students together. Thank you for being an integral part of our community.
